Epoch Capital is an innovative derivative-trading firm that happily had no form of brand identity in its early years. However, as the rapidly expanding company started diversifying to include education services, it was clear they needed to start communicating their standards to others.
We undertook a brand alignment workshop with the company’s directors to discover what values and opinions they both shared.
We then carried out an audit of the brand and its name before widening these findings to the rest of the company. As part of this vital process, we discovered that the Epoch team was already emotionally invested in their company name, which enabled us to build an identity around this powerful existing equity.
While the company was outwardly enigmatic and technology-focused, we found it was also hugely ethical at its heart. Based on this knowledge, we developed a new identity in keeping with its style of a global network.
